Many of us long for a day without routine. Why is that? Is that because our routine has become so awful that we simply need a break from it? If you think about it, your routine is what you do most of the time during your waking life. Wouldn’t you want that to be filled with joy? Wouldn’t you want to look forward to it?

I mean, how can we fall into the trap of doing something we don’t like and repeating that task over and over again? Didn’t we create that routine ourselves? Weren’t we responsible for bringing that into our lives? If we did it ourselves than we can undo it as well right?

Yes, absolutely yes. We can undo it. What are the steps to undo this dreadful routine?

WARNING: All the steps below might take a while. The key to get to the answers is to ENJOY THE PROCESS and to find the joy in learning and becoming a more complete human being. Who doesn’t want that? Sign me up!

  1. Recognize that we were the creators of that routine. Even if it’s all intricately connected to someone else’s life, we were the ones that created the process for ourselves. That’s the most difficult step to take. After you really get that, the next steps become tremendously easier to take.
  2. Get to know yourself. At this point you know what you don’t want which is a huge step. Now it’s time to find out what you want, what’s your passion, what makes you smile. That’s the path to find out who you are. What are your needs, your values, what’s your story?
  3. Define the action plan. Once you are clear about who you are and what you want, it’s time to define your plan to get there. Who do you know that can help you achieve your dreams? What type of support you need, and from whom? What exactly will it take for you to get where you want to be?

If you want to re-invent yourself and re-create your routine, it all starts with acknowledging that you are exactly where you need to be. The lesson you need to learn will catapult you to the life that you want. Once you understand the lesson you can apply the fruits of that learning experience to the process of re-inventing yourself and re-creating your routine.

Have fun and enjoy the process!

With energy,

Ana
